10 years. One brand.
Before that, I spent 15 years working across multiple brands.
That range gave me exposure.
But focus is what created expertise.
Working on a single brand for the past decade has made me an expert, not by title but by repetition.
I have been trained to the highest level possible as an outsider. More importantly, I have seen the same patterns repeat thousands of times.
Because of that, I can make decisions with very little information. These are not guesses. This is trained instinct.
That is what drives speed.
That is what drives consistency.
That is what drives productivity.
βThe power of knowing in the first two seconds is not a gift given magically to a few; it is an ability that can be cultivated.β
- Malcolm Gladwell, Blink
Expertise is not about knowing everything.
It is about seeing enough, long enough, that patterns become obvious.
In my work:
- Parts inventory is tighter
- Failures are predictable
- Diagnoses are faster
- Decisions are clearer
Focus long enough and complexity becomes familiarity.
Depth creates speed.
