I’m kinda not in the mood to blog. Just bear with me here.. Not much of details..
Went to court for my speeding ticket at 11:30. Scheduled for 2pm and I got out around 2:30 coz I came early. Got home and immediately did the Shoulders and Arms workout at 4:30 to 5:30. Thursday is bowling so I just took a quick shower and left. My biceps were still hurting while I was bowling. It’s cramping up a lil bit.
My achievement tonight… A 278 game! That’s all strike but an 8-spare in the 4th frame.
I thought I’d just do the ab ripper X once I get home but then I got stuck with some watches to do (I’m a watchmaker, in case you don’t know) and facebook glued me in.

It is Bowling Night for me. I bowl in league every Thursday night from 6:00 to about 9:00pm. Tonight is kind of a big for me. For those of you who bowls, you know this… I scored 212 257 235 with a total of 704. I haven’t had a 700 series this year. Last year I had two. I’m hoping I could keep doing it every week. Really, hopefully. My shoulders were even a bit sore from last night’s shoulders workout. But I just shrugged it off.
I got home about 9:30 and got on my stuff right away. p90x tonight should had been Yoga X but again… My DVD failed me. It won’t play. So we just switched it up with Stretch X instead. I must say, this is one of my favorites. I’m not flexible and this would really help me a lot. I love the spinal intensity of it. During the workout, I pulled my spine a bit and it hurts for about a min. Overall, it was a great workout in these early days of p90x.
And for my diet… Before bowling, I took a Powerbar, 23g protein, and an egg & cheese sandwich. Lots of water and my MASS XXX drink after the workout. Didn’t really had enough of food right there. But Oh well…

I bowl at Triad Lanes on Thursday nights, All-American Classic League and last Thurs. was my best game, yet. I did 280 on first game, 246 on 2nd and 258 on 3rd. I felt really great on my first game. That 280 was my closest game to 300. I have not gone this far, not even on my practices. I had all strikes but 2nd frame which was a 9-spare. On my 2nd game, I was a little shook up after that 280 especially having all these other bowlers tapping my shoulders and praising the big game I just did. I thought for a second I was a rockstar, I wonder what more if I did 300? So I grabbed me a bottle of Miller Lite to relax a little even though I told myself not to drink that night. With the money I won from high game and card pot, I paid cash. My last game, I was hoping for a 300. That journey to “three-O-O” went down on the 8th frame [a 9-spare again]. But then I had the chance to 800 series. I managed to strike the 9th frame and kinda nervous on the 10th. I messed it up big time when I missed my mark and went left side leaving 3 pins behind. I spared it and 9 pins on the last frame. I ended up with 784 series which is my second 700 series and first on a league. It’s a big step for me and really for me still not something to brag about. My buddy, though, is telling everybody that I am a damn good bowler. Proud of it.
The next night, Friday, I did not do well. I did not even make it to 600. Everybody found out and is glad that a young rookie bowler like me who just started bowling 2 years ago would be closer and closer to getting a perfect game, but sucks that very next night. Too early for a break.
Saturday, the tournament at Gate City Lanes for Men’s City Greater Greensboro Tournament is up. I had a 9am and 3pm. The morning game was not any good at all. A low 563 series. Shameful score. After that game, I went home, took a nap and got back for another 3 games.
My score on the first game was 125! Freaking 125. I think the hooters card deck screwed my game up. Second game was a decent 185. Last game was 143. Ended with 453 series. Lowest game so far and it’s on a tourny! I hate that game and not to mention I lost all my money to Bill. I was getting most pocket for splits and not picking up single pins. I need to step up a notch to for the Singles and Doubles match tomorrow. I can’t believe how I suck on this game today. What would you call a bowler who shot 784 and couple days later went to 453?

I missed 2 weeks of our bowling league. Last week my dad wasn’t feeling well so we just pass it and meaning to do a post bowl for that week. Yesterday, I decided I will no longer continue the league. It’s a bit boring anyway. Players are not fun to be with compared to other leagues. Whenever I play this league, I am looking for something that will get me excited to go back the next week. Not that I suck at the game, but it’s the game experience with the opponents that ticed me off.
The secretary just called and was worried about us not attending for 2 consecutive weeks now. I should’ve called her yesterday and I was going to.
The other reason is, I want to start focusing on my web skills right now. I want to learn advanced web design like CSS and PHP coding. I am currently browsing some books that will help me with that. And, hopefully get active on blogging again.

Week: 1 of 36
My Game Scores: 191 149 211
Standing: –
This week: 2W – 6L
I suck the very first night of this league. We never played this Monday Handicap Doubles ever so we established our averages. My average tonight is 183 and my dad is 192. Our handicap was 13 and 6 respectively. Our opponents were good; they did not have any handicap to start with. One guy just got 158 on his first game, so that was a steal for us. This league’s handicap is 80% of 200. I was throwing good ball with my Brunswick Radical that just got re-drilled. It only has a slight problem because when I picked my slug, I thought I am going to use a thumb saver but then when I tried to throw ball with it, it slides out and ball does not come out very easily. Now I need to use something else that will fill the gap of the slug and my thumb to get a good grip. I am still struggling with my healing blisters on my thumb anyway. I’d say it was a good game after all.
